A simple at-home screening process developed from 30+ years of clinical experience to help you assess your own tongue mobility and function without needing a specialist appointment first.
The surprising connection between tongue restriction and whole-body symptoms like jaw tension, neck pain, mouth breathing, poor sleep, and swallowing difficulty — so you can stop treating symptoms in isolation.
Clear next steps based on your results so you know exactly what to do with the information you uncover — whether that's seeking evaluation, exploring myofunctional therapy, or simply understanding your body better.
I downloaded this guide because I was curious, but I never expected it to describe me so accurately. As I worked through the self-checks, I realized I had many of the signs of a tongue tie. I have some clarity now and will be looking into a myofunctional therapist.

Great descriptions and loved the diagrams of the tongue with arrows to show me where to look!

A PERSONAL NOTE
For more than 30 years as a speech-language pathologist and myofunctional therapist, I've had the unique opportunity to treat patients from infancy through adulthood.
Over the years, I began noticing a remarkable pattern: babies treated for feeding difficulties often returned years later with crowded teeth, narrowed palates, jaw tension, mouth breathing, sleep issues, and other challenges that all traced back to untreated oral restrictions.
As I worked with more adults, I heard story after story of unexpected improvements in breathing, sleep, body tension, and overall well-being after addressing tongue ties and restoring proper oral function.
Those experiences transformed my practice and inspired me to create Lynn's Tied Together Hub.
My mission is to help adults connect the dots between symptoms they've lived with for years, understand how oral function influences the entire body, and provide practical tools to begin restoring healthier movement, breathing, and function—because when you discover the root cause, everything can change.
